Hey girlies!

Halloween is one of my favorite seasons and what better way to get into the festive mood than watching some Halloween movies. This spooky season Freeform has posted 31 Nights of Halloween so I thought it would be helpful to you guys to write a little summary of some of my favorite movies that will be on Freeform this upcoming week for you guys to watch.

Monday October 15th- The Parent Trap, 8pm/7c

Although this movie is not a typical Halloween movie, it seems to me that finding out after 11 years that you have an identical twin sister seems pretty spooky. This is one of my favorite movies ever, even if I don’t know if I can pinpoint exactly which part is my favorite (whether it be their oreos and peanut butter, or their legendary handshake). Either way, I highly recommend watching it!

Tuesday October 16th- Hocus Pocus, 8:55pm/7:55c

Hocus Pocus is a movie about three witches who were freed accidentally by a young boy, Max, as he was exploring an abandoned house. It even takes place in Salem, Massachusetts, a town known for the Salem Witch Trials! How scary is it to think that witches could be living among us?

Wednesday October 17th- Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, 8:30pm/7:30c

A gruesome but captivating thriller leaves you at the edge of your seats. Johnny Depp plays a London Barber, a character calling himself “Sweeney Todd”, is returning for revenge. Those who fall victim to his blade are sent to be turned into meat pies. Will Sweeney Todd ever be truly satisfied? Or will he let his hunger for revenge consumer him?

Thursday October 18th- The Addams Family, 9pm/8c

This is about the tale of an unusual family- this movie will always be a classic in my mind, from the catchy theme song to each and every odd family member. The Addams family embraces a more darker view of life but never forgets their family values.

Friday October 19th- Hotel Transylvania, 8:50pm/7:50c

Even though it’s a children’s movie, I love it endlessly. This movie portrays Dracula, a historically known vampire, who is, in the movie, fun, friendly, and a father. His daughter, Mavis, allows children to relate as Dracula can be a overprotective, embarrassing father.

Saturday October 20th- The Nightmare Before Christmas, 2:20pm/1:20 or 12:25am/ 11:25c

It is still up for debate whether this is a Halloween or Christmas movie, but for me personally I like to watch it during both holidays. This movie is like no other- the animation is so detailed that as a child it was scary for me to watch. My favorite part of this movie are the songs, from This is Halloween, to What’s this?. I find myself singing the lyrics at the most random times. Nevertheless, it is the perfect movie to watch on a crisp fall night.
