I know there is a lot of talk about a low-pony becoming the hot hair trend for fall, but personally I think this trend can easily go wrong for many hair types.  Instead, braids are universally a great way to spice things up without damaging your hair with heat.  Some braids to try: milkmaid, fishtail, and the French.  Plus, the “Lauren Conrad” side braid is always cute.  Look up any of these braids on YouTube for an easy-to-follow tutorial.

Kelsey Damassa is in her senior year at Boston College, majoring in Communications and English. She is a native of Connecticut and frequents New York City like it is her job.
