Celebs that Have Consistently Rocked the Red Carpet this Awards Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Every awards season brings new and different things to the red carpet, from the never forgotten reference to Angelina Jolie’s right leg, to crazy stars showing their true selves (Lady Gaga meat dress circa 2010). Between the People’s Choice Awards, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Grammys, and more, I have highlighted a few celebrities that have consistently kept great style and taste on the red carpet this awards season.

Taylor Swift: I know, some people love her and some people hate her, but there’s no denying that T Swift has grown in her style this year. She still keeps up her glittery dress obsession at times, but has definitely toned it down. She started off with an elegant red Elie Saab dress at the CMA Awards, moved onto a beautiful sweetheart black and red Carolina Herrera at the Golden Globes and most recently rocked a jaw-dropping sleek and sparkly Gucci dress. We may not know who she’s trying to impress now, but she is definitely turning heads on the red carpet.

Giuliana Rancic: Although Giuliana spends a lot of her time behind the scenes and the microphone, her style is one to watch. She wore a great purple Basil Soda mermaid dress with a crossed neckline to the SAG Awards, a perfectly embellished ruby-colored Lorena Sarbu princess gown to the Golden Globes, and a form fitted, orange textured Alex Perry dress to the Grammys. She loves to play with different colors and rocks it too!

Lupita Nyong’o: After reaching fame for her role in 12 Years A Slave, Lupita has killed it on the red carpet. First she appeared in a sleek white Calvin Klein dress with cool cutouts at the People’s Choice Awards, and next at the Golden Globes in a jaw-dropping red cape dress by Ralph Lauren that got everyone talking about her. She then wore a form fitting turquoise Gucci gown with flower detailing at the neckline to the SAG Awards. Although she is a newcomer on the red carpet, Lupita has made her mark.

Amy Adams: This American Hustle star is shining with not only her many nominations this season, but also with her red carpet style. At the Palm Springs Film Festival, she rocked a fun polka-dotted Juan Carlos Obando halter dress. At the SAG Awards, she glowed in a beautifully shaped one-shoulder blue gown by Antonio Berardi. Her best yet, however, was the red, deep V-neck, color blocked Valentino dress at the Golden Globes. Awards to Amy for both great style and acting!

These 2014 award shows are behind us now, but one of the biggest and best is yet to come: The Oscars. Make sure to grab some popcorn, get cozy, and keep your eye out for these stars and many more on the red carpet March 2nd.
