BCID Performs at Fenway’s “Irish Heritage Night”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Boston College’s Irish Dance Team, known by the abbreviation BCID on campus, were the stars of Yawkey Way at Fenway Park this past Tuesday night.  Asked to participate in the first annual “Irish Heritage Night,” these talented ladies and one young man, Liam Connolly, performed five original Irish dance routines and entertained all those entering Fenway through Yawkey Way.

Sophomore Bridget Teeking rocks her solo part

Dressed in black, lace-decorated dresses with either BC gold or maroon sashes tied around their hips, BCID performed five dances and absolutely proved how much their hard work and preparation for this event paid off.  They danced to original Irish songs, but also showed their versatility by performing to songs like “Country Girl” by Luke Bryan.  For more information about this awesome group, including upcoming performances, check out their website at www.bcirishdance.com‎.  Again, congratulations to BCID for their great performance at Fenway!
