After walking around campus, its easy to spot some people who wear the same things (and they all rock these pieces). Here is what the typical BC girl can be found wearing:
1. Lululemon Leggings
At first glance, you can probably see many people wearing these. They’re super comfortable and perfect for the (sporadic) weather around here. Usually, people go for the classic black leggings, however, there are also many fun colors and even prints that you see around here. The infamous little silver logo is hard to miss in the sunlight.
2. BC sweatshirt OR J. Crew quilted vest OR Lululemon hoodie
I feel like everyone has the maroon or gray sweatshirt that says Boston College in yellow letters. It’s a classic and it’s also super comfortable. The J. Crew quilted vest is also a staple for most people around here; especially with the cold-but-not-really weather. On days when a sweatshirt is too cold but a vest isn’t enough, you can see many Lululemon hoodies around campus. Complete with little thumb holes, it’s perfect to put on top of a tank top or short sleeve workout top. (yay for fitness)
3. Nike sneakers or Bean Boots or Hunter boots
Usually, if it’s a nice day, people wear their Nike sneakers. If it’s not too cold but rainy, you will see Hunter boots everyday. Some people have fun, bright, colors (I shamelessly have bubblegum pink boots), but most people stick to the darker tones. When the snow hits, most people whip out their Bean Boots (usually with thick, fun colored socks under them to keep warm).
4. Longchamp tote or North Face backpack
On days where girls have a lot of classes, they will be seen sporting a cute North Face backpack that is usually black with a fun accent color. Other days, you see people and their Longchamp bags, unzipped, with computer and papers exposed, and swung over their shoulder.
5. Ray Ban sunglasses
Campus is low key (high key) very, very, sunny: Even when it appears to be cloudy, the light is too much to handle. Whether it’s a super sunny day, or an exceptionally bad hangover, sunglasses are a life saver. I feel like Ray Ban aviators are a classic.
6. Swell water bottle or Camelback
What’s better than staying hydrated and saving the environment by using a reusable water bottle?? I see a lot of Swell bottles (still amused how they stay cold for so long) and Camelbacks. They’re all super reliable and hold enough water to get you through the day. Brownie points awarded to people who have fun stickers on their water bottles.
7. Pearl Studs
#ClassyGirlsWearPearls. Enough said. Pearls are timeless, fun, and go with anything you wear.
8. Chocolate Bar Coffee
The Chocolate Bar just has better coffee and feels extra special. Everyone has their go-to drink here and going there to get it is the best pick-me-up on any given day.
9. The BC look away
…Sorry I pretended I didn’t see you when I know I saw you. Actually I saw you, but I decided to look away because I don’t like confrontation. No hard feelings… it’s me, not you.
