BC is filled with stylish collegiettes. Walk across campus and you’ll spot chic riding boots, cute sweaters, scarves, and the latest fashions. But, we have a secret. We LOVE to be comfy, and I’m not talking about the socially acceptable lululemon yoga pants and tops we sport around campus like it’s our job. No no, I’m talking about that t-shirt, sweatshirt, or pair of sweatpants that you wear all the time in your dorm/room/apartment, but nowhere else. What? You thought you were the only one? Secret’s out! No need to be embarrassed, we’re all addicted to our guilty pleasure loungewear and there’s no shame!
For your entertainment and to reassure you that you’re not alone, here are some “hidden treasures” that don’t make the cut in outfit decisions but are favorites of your fellow BC girls!
“Got this from my dad for Christmas. Super comfy but it doesn’t leave my room…”
“I would say that pretty much all of my ‘absolutely never in public but popular in my apartment’ shirts have both mascara marks on the sleeves from rubbing my eyes after a fun night out and pit stains from serious overuse.”
“I hate to admit this but I have a Notre Dame “Fighting Irish” sweatshirt that I got when I visited the school during my sophomore year of high school. Since it was my first “college visit”, it is so worn in and comfy that I just love wearing it around my house. I am smart enough not to bring it to school because I know it will not be warmly accepted and have even gotten to the point of not wearing it when I have “bum it” days with my old friends back home since I feel like a traitor. Despite the maroon and gold in my blood though, I cannot give up this comfy green Notre Dame sweatshirt.”

“This shirt is seriously the most comfortable thing I own.”
“I have this amazing pair of sweatpants from Victoria’s Secret. They are ‘boyfriend fit’ so they’re super loose and comfy and they say Pink Univ. on the butt. I pretty much immediately change into them when I get back to my room but I will never let them see life outside.”
“I have a pink Gym Tan Lax pinnie that I am obsessed with but don’t wear in public.”
“I own this tank that I love and it describes me perfectly but I am too embarrassed to ever wear it to class, babysitting or around family.”
Regardless of how embarrassing, we can proudly flaunt them in the comforts of our own room, and who knows, one day they make their debut in the world!
