It’s football season! Game days mean tailgating and cute colors, but also tons of fun with friends. If you’re 21 and decide to drink on game day, you may not want to start your morning off with shots or beers (I know I don’t!). Instead, you should try these three fruity cocktail recipes. They are absolutely delicious and fairly easy to make.
They also can be made using things from the dining hall if you want to spend your meal plan money! Things like juices, soft drinks, and fresh fruit can all be purchased at any of the BC dining hall locations. You can also get sugar from the dispensers located by the silverware for the frosé recipe (just make sure you bring a big enough container). All of these recipes are great for making cheap alcohol taste delicious!
Frosé
Ingredients
1 bag of Sunset Blush Franzia
2.5 c sugar
2.5 c water
10-15 limes
1-1.5 c vodka*
Directions
-
Freeze bag of wine overnight
-
Allow the wine to thaw while other ingredients are being prepped.
-
In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water and bring them to a boil (the sugar should all dissolve– essentially making simple syrup). Let cool
-
Juice as many limes as you desire.
-
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. This recipe makes A LOT so you don’t have to combine everything proportionately as long as it’s mixed together in the end.
-
Enjoy responsibly!
A bag of wine contains over 5 bottles, so this will serve at least 10-15 people. Don’t forget, there is also vodka in the recipe if you’re counting your drinks!
*The more vodka you add, the stronger it will be. Use your discretion.
