As the days get colder, shorter, and more stressful, we all need a comforting pick-me-up. Recently, my go to has been a breakfast of oatmeal filled with fall spices courtesy of the Commons spice rack. It makes me remember why I love fall on cold, grey days.

The concoction is delicious but easy and quick to put together:

  • Oatmeal
  • Nutmeg
  • Powdered ginger
  • Cinnamon (what fall creation could skip it?)
  • Cloves
  • Honey
  • Ground flax seed
  • Chia seeds
  • A spoon of almond butter

Simple, but life changing and soul warming. Perfect for frigid, early, Maine mornings.
