It’s the best time of the year, classes just started and the workload so light. Syllabus week is almost over but that means it 80s weekend at Bates. This weekend is packed with fun activities all day long. From movie screenings to tailgates to dances, every Bates student knows how to enjoy themselves.

Here are some tips and tricks to survive this wild weekend:

1) Get lots and lots of sleep

In order to fully prepare yourself, you must take naps and get a full night’s rest. It’s vital.

2) Spend time with your friends

This is a great weekend to hang out with all your friends and take amazing insta-worthy pictures. The weather is teetering between warm and cool crisp fall air.

3) Make time to take care of yourself

Even if it’s just a face mask or relaxing in bed, it’s super important to have some down time so you don’t lose your mind with all these crazy.

4) Go to some of the games this weekend

From football and to volleyball, there’s an endless opportunity to support your fellow Bobcats.

5) Prepare your 80s outfit

You can’t wait last minute for a flashy 80s look, you must plan in advance or at least Amazon Prime it.

6) Drink lots of water

Hydration is key, drink pretty often so you don’t regret it!

And most importantly have fun and stay safe!
