It’s November in Maine and you know what that means: horrible weather! The crisp fall air has turned into an icy chill, the trees that boasted red and orange leaves are now barren, and your white sneakers are destined to get covered in mud on any given day. What better thing to do than lament in your warm bed, cuddle up with a cup of tea, and listen to music? What if that music could be 10 emo songs that make you feel like you’re in a depressing music video? If that sounds like an ideal scenario for you, you’re in luck. Here are my top 10 emo songs to listen to during the trying times of November.

The cold breeze coming through your open window will really make you want to live like Jack and Sally.

2.) Cancer – My Chemical Romance

Maybe belting out that you’re just soggy from the chemo will make you forget about how you’re actually just soggy from the rain.

3.) Walk Through Hell – Say Anything

Images of your soles burning through your shoes in hell will keep you warm on those cold November nights.

4.) If It Means a Lot to You – A Day to Remember

When the temperatures hit the negatives you really won’t be able to wait until you get home.

5.) Beside You – Marianas Trench

If you’re curled up in bed when the rain is pouring outside your window, your tired eyes will definitely not refuse to close in your defense.

6.) Forever my Father – Go Radio

When the lightning and the thunder have you clinging to your heart, you’ll need some Go Radio to listen to.

7.) Your Guardian Angel – The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

Seasons are changing and waves are crashing, so you best put this song on and throw yourself a pity party.

8.) Dark Blue – Jack’s Mannequin

You’ll wish the world could be burning down when you can’t fall asleep because your toes are so cold.

9.) Welcome to My Life – Simple Plan

For those times when the wind chill just makes you want to lock yourself in your room.

10.) Vegas Skies – The Cab

The November weather will probably keep you hopeless until you wake tomorrow, so just go to bed and keep yourself warm!
