So I know we’re all pumped for Bacchanal. I personally can’t wait to break out my tank top, cutoff shorts (it’s supposed to be a sunny 65 OMFG!) Don’t get me wrong, I’m beyond excited that it’s gonna be a warm day – but with the sun beating down all afternoon on hundreds of closely packed students, jumping up and down and dancing, I’m a bit concerned with one issue: wtf to do with my hair. By the end of the day, I can already imagine that it’ll be a frizzy sweaty mess if I leave it down, and it’ll be all up in my face while I’m tryna dance. Lucky for you, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite up-do styles to break the monotony of the basic pony. With one of these killer hairstyles, you’ll be free to enjoy bacchanal without a care in the world.
Classic French Braid
This style is easy to where, easy to fix should it fall out, and gives you that summer/beachy kinda vibe (if you keep it a little messy.)
The Fishtail
This one is a little harder to execute, but honestly it just looks f-ing cool. Try a fishtail braid if you want your hair to say “I’m literally awesome because I can do this with my hair.” Plus side: it stays really well and probably won’t fall out. If you wanna get real fancy you can start with a side braid, which will keep your hair totally secure all day (including during that after-bacchanal nap before going back out.)
The Messy Bun
This look is a classic. If you haven’t pulled this at least once (when you haven’t showered, am I right?), then honestly idk what you’re doing with your life. The messy bun is the perfect hairstyle to say, “I don’t give a damn, I just rolled out of bed and am here to party” even if you spent 15 minutes meticulously placing your bobby pins the right way to achieve that messy-pretty look.
The Two-Minute Tuck
This concert-ready hairstyle may be called the “Two Minute Tuck” but it literally takes 30 seconds. Like the messy bun, it says, “I don’t give a damn, I just rolled out of bed and am here to party” but actually means it. Step one: put a cool headband on. Step two, tuck all your extra hair into the back of the headband.
