Spring will soon be upon and trees will once again bud. Warm days, sunshine – you know the drill.

Yes, we have officially entered the period of dating life commonly referred to as Un-Cuffing Season, the pre-motion trials of Summer Flinging.

But don’t be alarmed, this is a standard practice. The dating game can be fierce, so don’t let the annual dwindling period leave you down. Here’s five ways to get over your Winter love and move on to better things (or guys) this Spring.

1. Accept the truth and be thankful.

To let go is to be thankful for the experiences that made you laugh, made you cry and helped you learn and grow.

2. Dance it out.

When has dancing failed to cure a sad heart?

3. Surround yourself with your besties.

Your girls always have your back. Go enjoy the fresh air with the ones that will always be there for you.

4. Trust that you’ll be JUST fine.

Happiness comes from within. Don’t forget that you’re an amazing person and you deserve someone who won’t take flight by the change of the seasons.

5. Focus on today.

You can decide right now that negative experiences from your past will not predict your future.  Figure out what the next positive step is, no matter how small or difficult, and take it.
