Top 10 Homecoming Royalty: Evan Ziebell

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ball State chapter.

It’s homecoming week on campus – and soon BSU’s King and Queen will be chosen. Candidates from more than 400 on-campus organizations were nominated to run, and now it’s down to the top 10.

Senior public relations major Evan Ziebell is among those top students and faculty.

Not just anybody can make it this far. The top is made up of “some of the most involved students on campus,” Ziebell said. Students had to campaign and promote themselves on social media to make it this far.

Ziebell says it’s not all popularity though – “It’s about being a positive campus leader. It takes networking over four years.”

Through his work with Dance Marathon for Riley Children’s Hospital and his role as “sweetheart” for the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Ziebell had enough votes from peers to make it to the top.

Now it’s up to a panel of judges. Check out Air Jam on Thursday to find out BSU’s next King and Queen.
