11 thoughts while camping out for Macklemore tickets

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ball State chapter.

On Thursday, October 15, hundreds of Ball State students pitched their tents and wrapped up in blankets as they waited overnight for Macklemore tickets to go on-sale. With temperatures outside dropping under 40 degrees, it’s a wonder that so many students were willing to sit through the cold.

Here are 11 thoughts we had while waiting over 16 hours for tickets outside of John R. Emens Auditorium:

1. “We got a great spot in line, this night is going to be awesome!”

2. “This tent can’t be that hard, right? You put this here, and then that goes under those and…wait….what?”

3. “Turn that Macklemore music up, and let’s dance!”

4. “It’s been at least two hours since dinner. There’s no turning down this free pizza.”

5. “Maybe five straight hours of Macklemore is enough, for now…”

6. “It’s not that bad. Just don’t think about the cold, or the wind, or the bugs, or the noise, or how tired we are…”

7. “Could we get a few hours of quiet to try and sleep, maybe? No? Oh, okay…”

8. “Can someone remind us why we’re doing this again…”

9. “Everybody up NOW. The line is moving – I repeat, THE LINE IS MOVING.”

10. “It was all worth it – we’re going to see Macklemore!”

11. “Guys, this concert isn’t until February. The wait still isn’t even over – here come three long months.”
