Thanksgiving vacation is fast-approaching, and not all college students have the luxury of traveling back home for the holiday. For those of you who will be staying in downtown Boston, I have curated a selection of my favorite luxury hotel restaurants ready to host your ultimate, Instagram-worthy Friendsgiving in a five-star setting.
1. Mandarin Oriental Boston – Bar Boulud
What: If you’re a true foodie, you know the internationally-acclaimed French chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud. For $95 per person, you can have a taste of the Parisian-inspired three-course prix-fixe menu featuring a traditional turkey roast or leg of lamb for meat-lovers, seared salmon for pescetarians, and gnocchi for vegetarians.
When: Thursday, November 22nd, 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Where: Mandarin Oriental Boston, 776 Boylston St, Back Bay
2. Four Seasons Hotel Boston – The Bristol
What: The Four Seasons Hotel offers both in-house dining and takeaway! For $85 per person, you can order a takeaway three-course prix-fixe Friendsgiving dinner (minimum order of 4 servings). Alternatively, hotel guests can start their Friendsgiving celebrations with a buffet brunch at $105 per person followed by dinner at $105 per person. If you’re only willing to spend over $100 for a single meal, I personally believe you can never go wrong with a buffet!
When: Thursday, November 22nd, Takeaway pickup 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM (orders must be placed by Monday, November 19th); brunch 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM, dinner 5:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Where: Four Seasons Hotel Boston, 200 Boylston St, Back Bay
3. Boston Harbor Hotel – Atlantic Room, Meritage, Rowes Wharf Sea Grille
What: The Boston Harbor Hotel offers not one, not two, not three, but four dining opportunities for an All-Day Friendsgiving. For a whopping $110 per person, enjoy brunch alongside a jazz quartet in the Atlantic Room. If $110 is a little out of your price range, you can have brunch at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille for only $65 per person. After indulging in omelets and caviar from the Atlantic Room or spiced pumpkin French macarons at Rowes Wharf, a proper dinner is in order. You have the choice of feasting at the Meritage Restaurant and Wine Bar or, again, at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille. The Meritage is offering a four-course prix-fixe for $125 per person and Rowes Wharf is offering a three-course prix-fixe for $65 per person.
When: Thursday, November 22nd, Atlantic Room brunch 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM; Rowes Wharf brunch 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM; Meritage dinner 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM; Rowes Wharf dinner 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
