I’ll be honest, as much as I love my energy drinks, they’re sometimes too much to handle.  The large amounts of sugar and caffeine can be a bit overwhelming and make me shake with energy instead of giving me the calm boost I needed.  However, I didn’t want to give up energy drinks entirely because I love their bold flavors and I use them as a way to connect with other students on campus.  Was there some sort of happy medium where I can get a sweet drink with an explosion of flavor without all of the sugar and caffeine?

That’s where Moxie QC comes in.

When I first discovered Moxie’s instagram page, I was immediately hooked.  I loved how bright and colorful their energy drinks were and how different each drink was from each other.  As soon as I could, I stopped by their energy bar in Davenport to try it.  This place had the energy drinks I was craving: low amounts of sugar and caffeine while also not lacking in flavor.  Plus, each energy drink boosts metabolism and is high in multiple vitamins, which is perfect for people who are looking for a healthy option.  My favorite energy drink so far is the Come On Barbie.  I love how strong the tart strawberry flavor is and how it’s balanced by vanilla and almond syrups.  The drink is caffeinated by green and black teas, but I couldn’t even taste the tea flavor, which I prefer because I am not the biggest fan of those teas.  I will admit, the energy drinks here are a little more expensive than other energy bars, but you do get more bang for your buck.  So, if you’re craving an energy drink but don’t want to take a step back from your health goals, Moxie has your back.

Another reason why I love Moxie is that if you’re not craving an energy drink, they have so many other delicious options for you to try.  If you’re more of a coffee drinker, they have six different coffee drinks for you to never get bored of.  Plus, they’re jam packed with protein, so don’t worry about falling short of your protein goals with these drinks.  Or, if you prefer to not drink caffeine, Moxie has fifteen different non-caffeinated refreshers to satisfy your sweet tooth.  Each drink has different health benefits as well, such as promoting heart health, extra hydration, and electrolyte balance, while not lacking any flavor and tasting just as good as the energy and coffee drinks.

My favorite drinks to get at Moxie besides for the energy brews, however, are the protein shakes.  There are over thirty different options to choose from and each one is packed with over twenty-four grams of protein.  Plus, they’re low in calories and sugar while carrying twenty-one vitamins and minerals.  No matter what flavor you’re craving, Moxie is sure to satisfy you.  They have chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, and multiple fruity protein bases and expand on them with many sweet toppings and syrups.  My personal favorite so far is funfetti cake.  Funfetti has always been one of my favorite flavors, and this shake reminds me why I love it so much.  The vanilla flavor is strong and smooth without being overly sweet, and the sprinkles add a colorful twist that makes the shake very photogenic.  It felt like I was eating a slice of cake filled with protein.  Moxie also has post-workout shakes too if you need an extra recovery boost.  From Buff Brownie to Toffee Tastic to Ripped Reeses, you’ll find the perfect flavor to reward yourself with after a tough workout session.

Even though it’s not your typical energy bar, Moxie QC is comparable to some of the most popular coffee shops across the quad cities.  I hope you try Moxie today and understand why I cannot stop raving about this hidden gem in Davenport.
