Written after Olivia Fleming’s: “i miss you and your old boyfriend”:

My dough belly shakes with laughter- smile lines crease with the joy of the day and the presence we are sharing in this moment

It doesn’t matter what multiverse, what butterfly effect landed us here

As it all plays out thousands of times and I never tire of it

For it is the same but different in all instances and I never want to let it leave

I never had to mold myself to fit your perceptions rather I would latch- stick into a comforting pile of colored matter brought up from the sweet wet earth

My separate spirit forever my own, as yours was yours

Quiet and free, wild yet confined

Together melded like an oath into something still moveable

Something still moveable

Living sculptures, living fire

Strength incarnate, broken only by force

For it is the same but different in all instances

Even if it comes together again
