It is currently April, so why am I wanting to write about shows that came out in March or, more specifically, write about the top 4?  March is known for many things, but the most popular thing has to be March Madness. Now, don’t get me wrong, March Madness is amazing. I love watching the basketball games and doing a bracket, but March is also known for having a couple of excellent shows, and this year, the shows are pretty good. I haven’t seen all of them because I, unfortunately, don’t have access to watch them, but if Rotten Tomatoes is rating them high based on critic reviews, then there is something that attracts attention to them. They certainly caught my attention

  1. Adolescence: Season 1

Now, this show currently holds the number 1 spot on Rotten Tomatoes, and as of today, it still does, and I was curious to know why. After first glance and not knowing much of what it is about, what I can tell you is that Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 99 percent after 96 critics reviewed it. That is high, so I was asking myself why. What about it is so amazing, and after watching the trailer, I now can see why. The intensity at first glance, the storyline, the line between being a good parent or not, the complexity of a child’s mind. All of these topics are reasons as to why I wanted to continue watching, and I can only assume a majority of critics felt to same way. Available only on Netflix as a “limited series”, I could watch some of the episodes. At an average length of 57 minutes, this four-part show is just what someone needs to feel an adrenaline rush. After digging into this show, I have come to realize that this show should stay in the number one position. I wanted to watch more, I was left asking myself why they didn’t create more. The show, of course, is not for everyone as it is a drama series that is based in the UK, but also I believe that more shows like this need to be created. Show the diversity, that what we see in the States can, on some peoples day-to-day, happen in other countries. Again, it is a drama, so more things are exaggerated, but still, nowhere is perfect. This drama is about a three-person family in the UK that got their entire world turned upside down because their 13-year-old son was arrested for murdering a classmate. These charges force this somewhat perfect family to confront everybody’s worst nightmares. The nightmares that every parent has are about thinking they are good parents and raising their kids right or admitting that something is not okay and some people just need help. Again, this series is on Netflix and limited, so who knows if it may disappear. If you can watch it, go and watch it.

  1. Daredevil: Born Again: Season 1

At the time of this article being written, Daredevil: Born Again holds the number 9th spot on Rotten Tomatoes, but since March, it has gone down. During the last week of March, this show held the number two spot on Rotten Tomatoes, and since this article is about the top 5 shows in March, I am writing as to why that is. Rotten Tomatoes is rating it 88 percent with over 190 reviews. Now, this is significantly lower than the number one spot for sure, but it still sounds like an amazing show to watch. Though I have access to watch this show on Disney Plus, I have been told to watch the original Daredevil first. My source(my boyfriend, who is a Daredevil fan) told me that I would not understand Daredevil: Born Again until I watched Daredevil. Since Daredevil is 3 seasons long with an average episode time of 50 minutes, I unfortunately have not started Daredevil: Born Again, but so far, I think I will enjoy it. After watching the trailer, though, and getting a little sense of the show, I understand what my boyfriend is saying. I am confused. The trailer was not enough for me, but I think what attracted me to it, just like critics, was the fact it was Marvel, and the original Daredevil is an amazing show. It is intense, so if people have watched the original, then why not continue and watch the new one? If you are interested, watch the original and continue to become the biggest Daredevil fan and watch the new one. Available on Disney Plus.

  1. Long Bright River

Amanda Seyfried stars in this amazing crime/drama series that Rotten Tomatoes scores number 3 with a score of 73 percent from critics. Now, this number 3 show has gone down since this article has been researched to number 17, but that doesn’t change the fact that critics still have good things to say about it. Again, it is lower than choice number 1 and 2, but it piqued my interest the minute I read the synopsis and watched the trailer. Along with Adolescence, this is another show that I hadn’t watched since I started my research, but have since gotten into and finished. This series is about a Philadelphia police officer who patrols a neighborhood that is hard hit by the opioid crisis, but she soon realizes that her personal history may be related to a series of murders. Now this is a very basic summary, but this Philadelphia city holds importance since she knows the victims personally and grew up in the area. This series not only lets you dive into what it is like working on the streets of Philadelphia but also gives you an inside look at the main character. This show was amazing for sure, so if you like crime/drama then this is the show for you.

  1. Invincible: Season 3

If there is one show that I believe deserves to be higher up on the list, it’s this show right here. It is currently placed at number 18 and I don’t know why since it has a higher Rotten Tomato score then both the number 2 and number 3 spot. Now, I have a personal connection to this show since I have seen all three seasons but I don’t want to talk about my own connection, I also want to get the opinion of the person who introduced me to the show. Invincible is his favorite show, and I honestly could not get into it without him. He mentions that “Invincible is a fresh new take on the superhero genre from Image comics, which happens to be the third biggest comic producer,” and I couldn’t agree more with him. Invincible focuses on superheroes like Marvel or DC, but there is something different about these types of superheroes and I think it is exactly what he said about them being fresh. These are unknown superheroes unless you watch the show, and you just fall in love with them and want more. If you want something fresh and unknown but also love superheroes, Invincible might just be the perfect option. All I can say is keep it up, Invincibl,e and if you want to be Invincible, go find it on Amazon Prime.

It does not matter if the show is number 1 or number 4,  but each has a certain genre, theme, you name it, and I am sure each one of the four is going to pique your interest. Now, there were originally supposed to be 5 shows included, but unfortunately, I did not want to include a show I had no access to. Dope Theif: Season 1, though placed at number 5 and should be included to make it top 5, can not be included because I have no personal connection or ability to watch, and unfortunately, there was not enough info to let me make some sort of informed opinion.

I am from a sub-burb just 45 min south of Denver, Colorado called Castle Rock and form being being from Colorado I also just love the outdoors. I just like an hour away from the mountains so in the summer of love hiking, going on bike rides, driving up to the mountain towns and hanging out with people. I am also very adventurous so white-water rafting and activity's like that excite me. In the winter, I try to get up to the mountains as much as possible and enjoy the winter activity's that the mountains have to offer.
