All Of Us Are Dead

This new Korean Drama is the latest addition to Netflix and has reached within Netflix’s own top 10 trending on the platform. The show is a variation of the usual zombie apocalypse storyline with its own twist, of course. The show has two main focuses: a group of high schoolers and their struggles and losses when the outbreak occurred, and characters and their different perspectives on the entire situation. This show is an action-drama packed with all of the usual comedic reliefs!

Money Heist

Money Heist is a Spanish drama that follows the story of the biggest money heist within the world; the process of how it was done and what the future holds. It is also one of Netflix’s biggest originals which concluded with its final season, Part 5, of the story filled with love, drama, action, and violence that ended up being an impactful film of revolution where you inevitably love the bad guys. So much so that Netflix created one documentary film and a two-season docuseries.

Queer Eye: more than a makeover

Queer Eye just recently came out with a season 6 on which it is more than a makeover, see what I did there. The men within the “Fab Five” come together and help those who need a new standing start which on only affects their living style but the relationships around them. They tell the story of individuals on their struggles and accomplishments and guide them to a more healthy lifestyle of not only taking care of themselves but with every aspect of that individual’s life.

Arcane: League of Legends

This is for my gamers. Arcane follows the story before the game ‘League of Legends’ story plot. But the show goes deeper than that, we see societal issues such as poverty and addiction and the struggles it comes with. This show is also a representation of Hope and revolution. And honestly, even if you have no knowledge of the game this show is still perfect for you since it doesn’t go into any of the game aspects.  What is even better is that the show consists of 9 episodes- which can be accomplished within one sitting… I would know from experience.

Love Alarm

This Korean Drama reveals the highs and the lows of the possibility of presenting our feelings through an app. And no I am not talking about Tinder. Within the show you “connect” your heart to the app which then reveals who likes you and who you like, all of course anonymously. This elaborate app brings many conflicting issues, and the main character Kim Jojo faces her own challenges with the app and the person she loves. And in the sudden rush to protect herself, she was granted protection- but at what cost. Find out within the 2 current seasons on Netflix.

Shadow and Bone

This book-to-movie adaptation focuses on sinister forces on which a single person has the possibility of defeating. This easy 8 episode season will allow you to fall in love with the characters that Author Leigh Bardogo has created within the YA novels Shadow and Bone trilogy and Six of Crows duology. Of course, it is recommended to read the novels first but it isn’t necessary to fall into the “Shadowverse” as so fans call it. Shadow and Bone is also getting renewed for a season 2 on Netflix.

H2O just add water

“Cleooooo Nooouurrrrr”, this classic Aussie television show captured many hearts within 2006 and of course, the classic phrases follow us today upon Tiktok. If you are looking to see an oldie, H2O Just Add Water is a favorite of those who seek drama, love, and childish fun. For those who have never seen it, the show consists of teenagers who always felt different and really do become different. One unexpected night they transform into Mermaids… oh what a dream. The three girls try to keep their tails hidden and go through a series of ups and downs that comes with keeping the secret of being a teenager.

The Society

This Netflix original is a short one, seeing how Netflix has canceled the renewal of season 2… really need to send an angry email for that one. Nonetheless, the show follows the story of a town of teenagers who went on an extended camping trip due to town concerns but ended up in a mysterious storm that brought them back home early… only to find out they are the only ones within the town. Soon they find out that there is no way out, a modern take of “Lord of the Flies”. This drama-thriller show will keep you on your toes and will have you asking why in the hell did Netflix cancel the second season.

How To Get Away With Murder

This is for my crime shows fanatics, the completed series filled with drama, love, mystery, and of course murder is on Netflix. You follow the story of Annalise Keating and a selected group of students to be mentored under the biggest and notorious Keating.

Which unexpectedly leads to a horrifying situation that has everyone questioning- how do they get away with murder.

Julie And The Phantoms

This cute comedy-drama will have your hearts within the first song. This show, which Netflix also canceled the second season… really Netflix love taking away bangers, follows the story of Julie who struggles with the loss of her mother and how to keep her passions with her. Unexpectedly she encounters a trio of ghost guys who never reached their own dreams. Together they help each other out and that ends up in an unexpected friendship. But like I said, it’s a comedic drama… something is bound to happen.
