Cool Beanz is a local coffee shop in walking distance from campus! They have great coffee and sandwiches, not to mention open mic nights and art shows. Cool Beanz is a classic Augie study spot located at 1325 30th st Rock Island full of good vibes and friendly faces.
Rozz-Tox
If you’re looking for something a little less typical, Rozz-Tox is the perfect place to be. Between their music shows and poetry reading there’s a lot to do here! This is a cash only place located at 2108 3rd Ave in Rock Island where you can see music shows, poetry readings, watch VHS movies or play chess in the library upstairs and write an essay from the comfortable environment.
Milltown
Milltown is a huge spacious coffee house at 3800 River Dr #2, Moline. This place has a strong rustic feel, a variety of seating options and a great view of the Mississippi. Milltown has a small drink menu but every single item is a good choice! There’s a selection of wonderful coffee, sandwiches and their iced tea is delicious and refillable!
Radicle Effect
If you’re 21+ then Radicle Effect is a great place to knock out a paper and a beer. Wide tables with a lot of elbow room and a wide selection of drinks make this place the perfect place to study during the day. This nano-brewery/alehouse is in walking distance from Augustana located at 1340 31st Street, Rock Island.
