The Echo That Loops

Your voice lingers like an echo

It rings through my ears on a loop

Wanting it to fade out like a sunset

But instead it sticks to me like glue

Forgetting then remembering you

Its a tug of war in my head

I want to just erase you

A bloomed flower ended up dead

Memories linger they’ll never fade

Us letting go was an unpredictable fluke

Although I hear your voice in an echo

The real you will always repeat on a loop
