Should’ve Left From The Start

Updated Published
This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Augustana chapter.

Attached to you like glue,

Bonded to the hip,

Concealed by all emotions,

Drowning in a ditch,

Everyday feels the same,

From day to night,

Gasping by every breath,

Hoping to detach,

I hope to feel happy again,

Just like I did when I was a kid,

Knowing the reason I feel this way,

Love Is the reason I shed,

Memories take over me,

Never giving me a break,

Obsessed is overrated,

Panicking makes more sense,

Questioning everything,

Real love or fake,

Struck by lightning,

That’s what it felt like,

Uneasy all the time,

Very emotional like you said,

What was even the point,

X-ray to my heart,

You’ll then see what you caused,

Zealous I was, should’ve left from the start
