The last weekend of winter break, I sat down with Paige Phelps and learned about her involvement at the Augustana campus. Paige leads a number of organizations on campus. From orchestra to the rowing team, Paige is Augustana College’s superwoman.Â

Reliable, independent, determined.

What’s your dream job?
My dream job would be to be like a Kevin Carton at a university working in the career center.

What’s a life philosophy you live by?
Live the life you love.

Who is the biggest influence in your life?
My brother.

As a very involved student, how do you keep up with everything? Advice for others?Â
I’m pretty into my planner, it’s very written in. I get up early and get my stuff done. I just don’t stress over the things that are super important and just kind of try to go with the flow.

Have you always been an involved student?
Yeah, if I’m not I get bored. I don’t like just sitting around.

As a female college student that’s involved and in charge of a number of organizations, what is the importance of female leadership to you?
Women can bring different perspectives and a whole lot of diversity to leadership. We have a great deal to offer and it’s important that we step up and share our talents. Â

What do you enjoy most about studying at Augustana?
I’ve made really, really good friends here. My sorority is a really great support system. I love my major and my professors.

What are you passionate about?
Learning-both experientially and academicallyÂ

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully completed grad school and at a job that I’m happy at. Hopefully back in Colorado.

My roommates, my parents.

Coffee.
