Always the musician never the musicÂ
Always the artist never the art
I’ve never been a museÂ
No one has ever looked at me and been inspired to createÂ
No one has ever wanted to make me into artÂ
I write poetry and songs
I create artwork and paintings and drawingsÂ
But you
You listen to my poems and you smile
You write poems of your own about me
And you read them to me
Just as I youÂ
And now I know what it feels like
To be art
Not just an artist
I know what it feels like to be a poem
Not just a poet
And this feeling of pure ecstasy running through my veins,Â
knowing that I have inspired you
It makes everything worth it
It makes you smile so much brighter
It makes the colors that I see you when I look at you even more beautiful
And I adore itÂ
