The Best Restaurants in the QC for Your Cheat Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Augustana chapter.

Here’s the thing. I don’t work out, but I sure do know how to eat like it’s a cheat day. Here are the best places to go in the QC for your cheat day!

Hurts Donut

The Hurts Donut is in Bettendorf and has some amazing donut flavors including Pink Lemonade, S’mores, and Twix! Their donuts are handmade and hand-decorated every day! The donuts are soft and the flavors are delicious!

Cheesy Cow

Cheesy Cow is a restaurant solely dedicated to making macaroni and cheese. This Bettendorf restaurant offers menu items like the Jalapeno Popper Mac, Loaded Baked Potato Mac, and a Veggie Mac (if you’re not completely set on cheating).

Legend’s

Legend’s is another great cheat restaurant, and the best part is that it’s right by Augustana! If you’re craving a burger on your cheat day, Legend’s is the place to go! It’s a fan favorite among Augie students.

Lemongrass

Lemongrass is an amazing Thai restaurant. They have a great variety of choices with appetizers, fried rice, and curries! My personal favorite is the Kimchi Fried Rice with chicken. The spices and the chicken are super yummy and come together to make a great comfort food!

Rudy’s Tacos

Rudy’s is a favorite taco place among all the locals here in the QC. The food is cheap and absolutely delicious. You can have your pick of tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, and burritos!

Whitey’s

You can’t finish a cheat day without the best in the Midwest! I’m sure you already know about how great Whitey’s is, but I thought I would reiterate. Though everything on the menu is to die for, I always suggest the Fudge Brownie Under Sundae.

Whether you rarely take cheat days, or every day is your cheat day, I hope this list helped you find something great to eat! The QC is filled with great places, and taking advantage of the area is always a great idea.
