Rihanna is Living Her Best Life and Winning 2017

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Auburn chapter.

Everyone said 2017 would be their year, but the bad gal herself seems to have had the best year of them all. Rihanna dropped a hot song with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller called Wild Thoughts which was a summer hit, and she was also featured on some of everybody’s favorite summer songs. She starred in a movie called Valerian and of course shut down a few red carpets along the way.

Off of the red carpet she’s been throwing new Fenty gear at us it seems every month and she hasn’t disappointed yet. Not only has been killing us with fashion but she’s been killing us with kindness as well. Rihanna has gifted young Malawian girls with scholarships and bikes through her Clara Lionel Foundation.

As if she wasn’t loved enough, recently Rihanna has been getting more love than I’ve seen in a while from all walks of life. On September 8, 2017 Rihanna dropped her make up line called Fenty Beauty with 40 shades of foundation. She has foundation for those with albinism and those with darker skin who seem to not get much love from other companies.

Her line is for everyone and every kind of beauty. There aren’t certain colors that look right on a certain skin tone, every highlighter and lip color seem to make every type of customer happy. This wasn’t the only thing making her customers smile. After Rihanna’s line dropped other make up company’s began putting their darker shades out there on social media, which to those excluded, was a good laugh.

Right after making her fans proud and putting some fear in her competition, Ms. Fenty hit the red carpet. It’s New York Fashion Week, and who is more fashionable than Rihanna?

Rihanna and her gang shook things up with the motorcycle and sporty look for the Fenty Puma show. The show was full of bright colors and of course gorgeous models. Most of the outfits shown were either leather, spandex, or the windbreaker material and the colors chosen were a mix of girly and bad ass.

The clothes were the epitome of Rihanna, who finished the show off in a motorcycle green and white two piece riding on the back of a motorcycle. I can’t wait to see what she has for us down the road.
