Photo Blog: Autumn Salad Recipe

Enjoy the last weeks of apple season with this autumn-themed salad. Crisp apples, soft pears and sweet cranberries make this salad the perfect meal or side dish! 

I used a salad mix from Hornsby Farms in Auburn, but the toppings on this salad are compatible with romaine and spinach as well. 

Autumn Salad Recipe

12 cups mixed greens

1 pear, chopped

1 Honeycrisp apple, chopped 

1/2 cup pistachios

1/2 cup dried cranberries

1/3 cup poppy seed salad dressing

Rinse greens and top with pear, apple, pistachios and cranberries. If making ahead, toss the apples in lemon juice to prevent browning. Toss salad with poppyseed dressing before serving.
