Jazz, Food, and Art at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Auburn chapter.

This week I had the pleasure of meeting two jazz musicians. Cullars Improvisational Rotation –named after the oldest, continuous soil fertility study in the South (located just in front of the museum) –can be heard every Thursday night from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art. Admission is free, and you can stop by the cafe to enjoy shareable portions from their specialty cocktail menu while you listen. On the third Thursday of each month, a poetry reading follows the music.

While you can always expect to see this band playing each Thursday, other local and regional bands join them occasionally. If you find yourself bored on a Thursday night and have an appreciation for jazz, you should check them out!
