Fashionable and Budget Friendly Shopping Sites

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Auburn chapter.

Every collegiette deserves to look great without leaving their wallets completely empty. We all want that Taylor Swift or Cara Delevingne look on a budget. Check out these sites that will give you the opportunity to save, and some will even help you make some money.

Poshmark

Enter your size and the brands you are interested in and Poshmark will do the rest of the work for you! If you see something you like, you can follow users so that whatever they post will show up in your feed. You can also sell items directly out of your closet! This shopping site allows you to promote your items and share your closet to all your friends. Poshmark is especially nice in that you have options for how you want to receive the money that you earn in the form of a check, a direct deposit into your checking account, or in the form of credit to spend on the site.

Twice

For this online retailer, credits are the name of the game. You get $10 in credits for your first purchase just for signing up and $10 for the first item you sell. If you refer a friend, you can make another $20 for the first items they buy and sell. The referral credits don’t stop until you reach $500! When you can buy a pair of Jimmy Choo sling-backs for under $200, you can imagine just how far these credits can get you! Twice also offers you a deal by allowing you to earn 25% more off the clothes you sell when you choose store credits as your method of getting paid.

Vinted

This site allows you to buy and sell clothes directly between users. It has a layout that resembles pinterest and definitely is more casual than the previous sites mentioned. What makes Vinted stand out is that it gives you the option to swap clothes with other “Vintees” so that everyone gets something! Vinted allows you to set your own price on the items you are selling and tends to be one of the more affordable options for shopping online. You can download the Vinted app to buy and sell from your phone.

Rosegal

If you want inexpensive and variety, I’d recommend Rosegal. I’m not sure how the prices are so incredibly low on all of the cute items that look so expensive but from hundreds of great reviews I’ve seen on different products, I think it’s safe to say quality is not compromised. The site also allows you to ask the retailer questions about the products and see what questions others have already asked.

Romwe

This international retailer is on a mission to bring fashion from the catwalk to the real world. Romwe’s creators work to bring must-have items to your closet without having to choose between affordability and quality. Their clothing selection ranges from edgy to feminine and can easily get you that “fashion blogger” look you’ve been craving. They offer free shipping when you spend $50 and you’ll even get 60% off your first purchase.

Storenvy

Though it can get a little pricey at times, the selection is great. Storenvy is a lot like etsy but it is a lot less crafty and homemade. You can buy anything from home decor to costumes here so you can shop for a lot more than just clothes. There is a really unique selection of items from all kinds of independent artists and if you feel that you make something worth selling, Storenvy will help you open up shop as well!
