This spring brings Auburn the tenth anniversary of Earth Fest! The event is being held on March 22nd from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM in the Donald E. Davis Arboretum. The Environmental Awareness Organization holds Earth Fest each year as a celebration of nature and music. Earth Fest is a casual, fun, come-and-go event and is free to the public.

Entertainment

Free outdoor concerts will be going on throughout the day on two separate stages. The lineup will feature sixteen bands total, including The Other Brothers, Sam Price, Streetparty in Liverpool, and Scooter McGavin. The Other Brothers are well-known around Auburn for their Mumford and Sons-style vibe, while Scooter McGavin’s classic rock is always a crowd-pleaser. Other local favorites include Red River Band, Stoneroller, and Victorian Sundial.

Two free outdoor yoga sessions will be held as well, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own mat and experience the serenity of outdoor yoga. The goal is relaxation so skill level will not be too advanced, and workout clothes will not be necessary.

A performance by AU Rhythm, Auburn’s energetic Hip-Hop Dance Troupe, rounds out the broad entertainment roster. Earth Fest also features expositions from many local businesses and organizations around Auburn. Food will be served for purchase by the Environmental Awareness Organization.

Earth

The goal of Earth Fest is not only to provide a great time while enjoying the Arboretum but to remember the causes of sustainable living and environmental responsibility. All proceeds from Earth Fest always go toward environmentally-geared organizations, and this year, all revenue will go directly to the Donald E. David Arboretum, an Auburn University facility dedicated to woody plants native to the Southeast. Earth Fest’s proceeds help keep this outdoor space beautifully preserved on Auburn University’s campus for students and the Auburn community to enjoy.
