The Best Online Shopping Sites for the Broke College Girl

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Auburn chapter.

Who was the first person to say “Everything is Bigger in Texas?” Was some guy just walking around Texas and goes, “Whoa, dude, like everything is so big here,” and some entrepreneur overheard and printed it on millions of t-shirts and Texas-shaped refrigerator magnets? Well, you heard it here first. My to-be-famous saying: Everything is bigger in college. Bigger classes, bigger campus, bigger waistbands (the Freshman 15 is too real), bigger opportunities, and the worst of all, bigger expenses. Bigger is not always better. My bank account didn’t just not get bigger, but absolutely plummeted.

I’m impressed on how much money I blew through so fast. I mean, I spent big: On cocktail dresses for date parties, on J brand ripped jeans, on over-the-knee boots I only wore that one time. Ladies, do not make my mistakes. We are big girls in a big world and we can budget. It’s completely possible to be fabulous, on-trend, and have enough money to eat.

Three years later, I have compiled the perfect list of online shopping sites on a college budget. Good luck and happy shopping!
