1.) Podcasts

Podcasts have skyrocketed in popularity over the past decade and I am all about it. It is so easy to just pop in your headphones and listen to one on your way to class, while you’re working out or even when you’re getting ready in the morning to get you in the right mindset for a day of productivity.

If you’re looking for:

  • inspiration: “Lewis Howes Show: The School of Greatness” or “TED Talks Daily”
  • murder mystery: “Up and Vanished” or “Unsolved Murders”
  • lifestyle (and a laugh): “Lady Gang” or “Real Simple”

2.) Delete Your Social Media for the Day

Don’t freak out! We all know it’s true how one Instagram notification can lead into an hour long stalking sesh of everyone who has ever been famous. Sometimes it’s worth it to live under a rock for an afternoon to get your ish done.

3.) Find a Good Playlist

We all have different music preferences and moods when we are studying. Find a playlist that fits your study needs and keeps you comfortable yet motivated. Spotify has hundreds of playlist options to match whatever keeps you focused.

4.) Find your Happy Study Place

We all have those certain places around town that we vibe with. Find your happy place to study whether it be a secret coffee shop or the fourth floor library. Your brain will know it’s time to grind every time you sit in that same seat or place.

5.) Workout

When test week rolls around, it’s important to take a brain break and get in a workout or two. Your brain deserves some time to chill, plus those good endorphins will kick in and you will feel even more on top of your game.
