Zodiacs… but make it Halloween

Everyone knows that Halloween is a spooky time, but there’s nothing like curling up on the couch with some friends and watching your favorite Halloween movie. Lucky for you, I took the stress out of looking for the perfect movie to watch, and I’m going to tell you which movie you should based on your zodiac sign.

Nothing says Halloween like Beetlejuice, and just the pure fact that anytime I watch this movie, I just get more and more convinced that Beetlejuice is a Capricorn.. Capricorn’s are known for their persistence and ambition, and I can’t help but think of how manipulative and persistent his character is and how I connect him to the Capricorns in my life.

If there were any sign that could compare to the absolute chaotic and crazy atmosphere of Halloweentown, it would be Aquarius. The downright bizarre but also comforting vibes this movie gives me, is exactly what I feel anytime I talk to my Aquarius friend.

A movie like The Haunted Mansion is just what a Pisces needs to watch during Halloween time. Pisces like to have a little escape from reality, and a movie based around ghosts and the supernatural coming to life is just up their alley. Not only that, but Pisces are infamous romantics and the fact that the man who owns the mansion sets the whole trip up just because the mother looks like his lost love, sounds exactly like something a Pisces would do.

A sign that’s known for their anger and scary demeanor is Aries, so  it’s only right that I give them Texas Chainsaw Massacre. An Aries  craves a thrill  and scary moments of suspenseful movies, so a simple Halloween movie wouldn’t do. They need the shock factor of creepy vibes that come from a classic like TCM.

Tauruses are ever the realist, so silly little movies about the supernatural or things that don’t exist won’t give them the chills that go down their spine. But a movie like Silence of the Lambs being about the horror of the human mind and just the extent it can go, is just what gets them jumping.

I mean, with the Gemini symbol being the twins, I would obviously match it with the psychological thriller of Us.  I hope the fact that I chose a movie about evil doppelgangers/ alternate versions of the characters don’t go over your head.

Emotional little Cancers deserves a movie just as cute and cuddly. Which is why I would give them Casper. Cancers are known to be in touch with their feelings and have a sense of empathy towards others, and I can’t think of a better character than Casper the Friendly Ghost to represent this water sign.

Of course, Leo would be Hocus Pocus because only a Leo would be extra enough to want to find a cure for eternal youth. Also, have you seen those costumes? So cute, so over the top, and so fashionable; it absolutely screams Leo.

With their absolute attention to detail, I thought it would be fun to give Virgo a movie like Scream, where they can watch and try to guess who the killer is.

Libras feel threatened and hate when they know that there are no options and no matter what you do the same outcome will happen.I thought matching them with a movie like The Ring would be absolutely chilling to them.

Surprisingly, the spookiest of all signs wouldn’t be a scary movie. Scorpios would actually be Twitches. Since it’s a movie about witches and Scorpio is the most connected sign to the supernatural, I feel like it’s the perfect fit.

I kinda have a personal bias, but Sagittarius would definitely be Nightmare before Christmas. Not only does Jack have the free spirit and sense of adventure like a Sagittarius does, but it would be absolutely criminal to not give them a movie that has two holidays since we are notoriously indecisive, and love to have options.

Now that I have given out the movies to each sign, there’s only one thing left to do… well watch them, of course! So get a group of friends together and make a whole night of it. Bake Pilsbury ghost cookies, turn on some red led lights, and get ready for a Halloween-filled night.
