And just like that, summer has ended and a new school year is upon us. I am all about staying organized, especially when it comes to a new school year. As I progress forward into my senior year, I realize that I have developed a few key organizational strategies that have set me up for success both in school and in life.

Finding the perfect planner is always a must for me

Writing down all that I need to accomplish as well as due dates has helped me stay organized. . This way, I can avoid cluttering my days, missing due dates, and double booking. For years, I would always purchase Lily Pulitzers large agendas. These planners are super cute and come in a multitude of colors and patterns. The best part of the planner  is that there is enough space to write down all that you need to do. Another site that I love is Erin Condren. She has the cutest customizable planners that come in a large variety of colors and sizes. I recently got one from this site and I love it! It has a ton of space for writing down notes, goals, and to-do lists.

In order to stay organized, I have found it crucial to remain balanced between school and taking time for myself.

I make sure to devote at least 2 hours to myself daily. I use this time for at home workouts, meditation through guided apps (my favorite being HeadSpace), and non-school related reading. In the past, I have been guilty of using all of my time for school, errands, and other related things that I left no time in my day to give back to myself. Now, self-care is extremely important to me. When you are able to take time for yourself  it is easier to stay on track towards your goals and accomplish everything you have to do for work/school.

Self-Love is my last tip for staying organized

Be understanding and forgiving of yourself if some day do not go as planned. Do not be hard on yourself if you do not accomplish all your daily tasks. Do not be hard on yourself if some days are more emotionally difficult and all you feel like doing is laying in bed with a face mask, hot tea, and some Netflix. We are all human and you are on the track towards success. You got this.
