As usual, Taylor Swift turned both heads and cameras at the Chiefs-Dolphins playoff game on Jan. 13. But the pop star’s outfit at this game received more attention than in her previous appearances at Arrowhead Stadium.

Swift wore a custom puffer jacket made out of a Travis Kelce jersey. Matching her was Brittany Mahomes, who sported a similar coat made from her husband – Patrick Mahomes’ – jerseys.

These jackets, along with other garments created for girlfriends and wives of NFL players, were custom-made by Kristin Juszczyk – pronounced ‘use-check’ – wife of 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

In a TikTok post on her profile, Juszczyk wrote that the opportunity to make a garment for Swift was the “honor of a lifetime,” though her catalog of famous clients does not start or end with Swift.

Juszczyk has made several garments for Brittany Mahomes, including her jacket that matches Swift’s and a pair of “#15” themed cargo pants in support of the Chiefs’ quarterback. She crafted a puffer vest for Olympian Simone Biles, whose husband plays for the Green Bay Packers.

Taylor Lautner, the actor made famous for his role as Jacob in the Twilight series, received a blue and black Aiden Hutchinson-themed varsity jacket. In a recent TikTok on Juszczyk’s page, Lautner was seen at the Lions-Rams playoff game opening the box containing his custom piece.

Juszczyk has created a number of pieces for herself, in addition to those she made for others. From corset tops to duster coats and her now-famous puffer jackets, she has a closet full of 49ers apparel she created both from scratch and from “flipped” NFL apparel.

Juszczyk’s impressive designs are made more so by the fact that she taught herself to sew.

“I am completely self taught. I’ve learned everything I know from YouTube,” Juszczyk’s website bio said. Her love of sewing began at an early age, “crocheting with [her] grandma while watching Wheel of Fortune.”

Juszczyk did not attend school for fashion design, instead opting to study business at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland. There, she met her husband, who has been playing a role in spreading the word about Juszczyk’s designs.

After the public took notice of Swift’s jacket at the Chiefs-Dolphins game, Kyle Juszczyk has reposted several articles, TikToks, and posts on his X page, including one where he wrote, “She’s an absolute star!”

Discourse on social media praised Kyle Juszczyk over the past several days for his support of his wife, with one TikTok user (@AustinFrankln) saying that “Kyle is already in the running for husband-of-the-year 2024.”

Fans of Juszczyk can view her catalog of designs on her social accounts and on her website. While there, fans can learn that Juszczyk wants visitors to her platform to know that “I’ve never felt more fulfilled in my life. I absolutely love what I do and just want to let you all know it’s never too late in life to rediscover a passion or talent!”
