Recap: Phoenix Fashion Week’s “Spring Into Fashion”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at ASU chapter.

Phoenix Fashion Week’s “Spring into Fashion,” which was held on Friday, March 28th, strayed away from the traditional fashion show – where stylists stay behind the scenes – and instead brought forth AZ’s top 5 stylists front and center to show the valley just what they can do! These stylists were also partnered with local boutiques to showcase their upcoming line that can make you look chic and trendy this season!

First on the runway was stylist Rochelle York, who partnered with Clothes Minded boutique owner, Kim Kendall, to create a chic, everyday look. York showed us that you can look simple, yet fashionable in bright colors and basic pieces!

Yekatherina Bruner, who partnered with Allie Ollie boutique, used leather and an array of patterns to make each outfit look classy and modern.

Next was our personal favorite, Vanessa Renee, who was partnered with Fresh Start Treasures, wowed us with her use of cream, tan and white colors. She made the outfit scream sophistication and high-class. What surprised us the most was that each piece was less than $20!

As for our guy readers out there, take note of this one. Jessica Hunter, who paired with 7 Diamonds, showed everyone that even guys can dress up, too, than the usual jeans and a t-shirt. What we particularly loved about this one were the flipped collars, rolled up sleeves and the untucked shirts that made the crowd swoon!

And lastly, to round up the show, the lovely Jenesis Laforcarde, who partnered with Divaz Boutique, showed us her favorite spring trends – bright colors and gold chains – and rounded the look with high ponytails!

We hope you enjoyed what these top 5 stylists had to show, we certainly did! Which ones were your favorite(s)? Let us know in the comments below!

When she is not busy studying Literature (which requires reading endless amounts of Norton Editions) participating in PAB, Las Hermanas or crewing for a film, she enjoys her time off reading YA novels, magazine, shopping and brainstorming new and exciting things for HC ASU. Her ultimate goal is to move to a metropolitan city and become an Editor-in-Chief for a publishing house or crewing for a feature film!
