Overalls: Keepin’ it Casual and Dressy

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at ASU chapter.

The 90’s are back and they’ve brought with them the oh-so-popular, overalls! What we love about them is that they are comfy, easy to wear, and can be dressed up or down with a few key essentials. So, whether you are going to grab lunch with friends or having a date with the bae, here are four ways to dress up or down your overalls.

Casual Wear

A pair of cut-off short overalls would be perfect for a casual day out and about. Just pair it with a white or striped tee, sunnies and you’re set to go! Of course, if you’re like me and love bold colors, pair if with you favorite bright colored bag to make the outfit pop! It’s simple, yet chic.

For a more casual-grunge look, these distressed white washed jeans show off your more edgier side. Just pair it with a graphic tee or tank, your fav pair of doc martens and voila

Dressy Wear

A pair of burgundy overalls with tights can definitely make your outfit look dressy for a night out. If you’re taste is a bit more tame, instead of the bold platform shoes shown below, pair is with a pair of black flats or pumps!

These faux-leather overalls are perfect with a pair of strappy heels and gray tee underneath. Oh, and don’t forget that red lipstick to bring it all together and rock it!
