For those of us who were born without 20/20 vision, we know the hardship of looking glam in our glasses.  And when we choose to go sans glasses, we’re sure to bonk our noses on something unexpected. Sure, we’ve got contacts, but those things sure know how to rip when you need them most. Even though it’s currently still a fashion statement, some of us have no choice but to look geek-chic all the time. Here are some tips and tricks for looking hot(ter) in your specs!

1.  Moisturizer

Say goodbye to those annoying red marks on your nose! We all get them, they’re unavoidable- but if you’re trying to conceal them, use a tinted moisturizer around that area. BB creams and foundations will help get rid of the uneven redness!

2. Curl Your Lashes

You don’t know the meaning of the word struggle unless you’ve worn glasses and you have long lashes. Nothing is more uncomfortable than the tickle you get on your eye with each blink. To avoid this, curl your lashes! You can also apply mascara to the base of your lases in order for them to stay up better.

3. Mascara

Mascara is KEY. Lenses tend to make your eyes looks smaller when you’re wearing glasses. In order to keep your eyes looking big and beautiful, apply a few coats of mascara to make your eyes look bigger. The problem with mascara and glasses is that it sometimes flakes into your eye, and when you try to rub it out, you end up smudging your lenses. It’s a never-ending cycle of terrible things. Rest assured, there is a solution, and that solution is waterproof mascara. Sure it’s a pain to remove, but at the end of the night, would you rather have smudged lenses or stubborn mascara? I’ll take the latter, please.

4. Concealer

Instead of hiding your dark under-eye circles, glasses seem to magically enhance them.  Make your eyes look bigger and more awake by applying some concealer and set it with some powder. Your eyes will look brighter and you’ll look perkier, even if you’ve only gotten three hours of sleep after studying for that big test!

5. Eyebrows

It’s even more important to keep your eyebrows neat and tidy when you’re wearing glasses. The eyebrows are a key component to framing your face, and since your glasses draw more attention to it, you might as well keep them looking good. Plus, you somehow always feel a lot better about yourself when your eyebrows look on point. For some added definition, darken them slightly to make your face look even more polished.
