This week’s ASU Celebrity is someone who is making his mark on ASU Tempe Campus. He is passionate about helping others, sharing his story, and about changing the community for the better. Meet my friend Jose Carlos Pardo Urrea.

What do you like most about ASU? It’s relatively close to my parents home.
How are you involved in the ASU COMMUNITY? I’m a peer programmer in the business dorms, and in El Concilio coalition.
What is your biggest accomplishment? Maintaining a GPA at or higher than 3.5
Best college memory? My best college memory is going to Knott’s Berry Farm in California with friends.
Who is/are your influences? Dr. Martin Luther King, Mohandas Gandhi, Cesar Chavez etc.
What are your career goals? To be successful in International community development in 3rd world countries and actually bring a noticeable change.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In Latin America working for some sort of NGO, the United Nations or an organization that helps build/restructure underdeveloped countries.
