ASU Celebrity Trever Migliorino

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at ASU chapter.

I’d like to introduce you to these weeks ASU Celebrity Trever Migliorino. If you go to ASU Downtown, you have probably seen Trever before because he and his orange afro tower over most. He has a contagious positive attitude and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He’s a journalism major who is about to finish his first year at ASU. Even though the Phoenix native has a long way until graduation, Trever wasted no time this year getting involved in several fun activities and next year, he is taking on even more.

How did you get involved in the creation of The Inferno (a weekly student-run sports broadcast)?

Trever said that he originally took the Sports Production class to learn the ropes of broadcast, but he ended up loving it so much that he took the reigns.

What is your role in the show?

Trever mostly produces the show, but he also does graphics and occasionally anchors.

What do you do at school when you aren’t working on that?

“I DJ for (the ASU radio station, The Blaze) in the morning before The Inferno. I also do intramural sports,” he said.

What do you think you are most well-known for?

“Probably my hair. And my height.”

What is something that people don’t know about you?

I’m terrified of birds.”

How did you get interested in journalism?

“One guy – Dave Pratt.”

What do you hope to get involved in next semester?

“I’m going to be a RSCL next year. During the summer, I have my internship with KMLE. I’m looking forward to that.” A RSCL is a Resident College Student Leader.

What made you interested in the RSCL position?

“To be quite honest, it was the free housing,” Trever said. He also said that he looked at the guidelines and thought that it was something he would be good at.

What do you hope to plan for your floor next year?

Trever said that he wants to see more community in Taylor Place. He wants to see all of the Cronkite students living in Taylor Place to feel like they are one community instead of just individual floors.
