White in winter – what is the big deal?

Every young woman was raised by a mother who swatted at white blouses in winter. As a general fashion rule, no female should be a victim to this major “don’t”, right? The trend was adopted over the course of history, when white was a familiar staple of wedding and resort wear. In the fall, when lavish dinner parties and banquets were more frequent, darker tones were much calmer and appropriate. After Labor Day was established in 1894, it was also declared the end to that classic summer color – white.

Are women obligated to stick to this absurd fashion “must”? Personally, I love white in the winter. When leaves fall and the snow hits, lighter colors are just as classy as Christmas songs and a Starbucks latte. For those of you who insist on sticking to the brown-tone trend, more power to you. Today, it could easily be noted that the no-white trend is declining, especially on college campuses. The real answer? It’s all in personal preference.
