I am delighted to introduce Ms. Tanna Marie Eiland to the world and the University of Arkansas! Tanna is a sophomore Library Science major and a Northwest Arkansas native. I have known Tanna for many years now and I have decided it is time for everyone else to get to know this amazing lady!

The first thing you should know about Tanna is that she LOVES books (just take a look at her major if you don’t believe me!), so I thought it would only be fitting to ask her a couple of book-oriented questions. One of the more popular trends these days is trying to figure out one’s spirit animal. I wanted to ask Tanna this question, but on a level more suited for her own personal tastes.

Who is your literary spirit being?

Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson) or Dewy Kerrigan (The Green Glass Sea)

What is one book you would recommend to anyone and everyone?

Either The Spider and The Fly or The Green Glass Sea… Or y’know, the Bible if you’re feeling religious!

Another major part of Tanna’s life belongs in the world of fandoms. Next, I asked her what I knew would be a challenging question. But Tanna rose to the challenge like a champ!

If you could only belong to one fandom for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?

Harry Otter…not what I meant but I’m gonna go with it. (Harry Potter for reals though!)

The final two questions asked of Tanna were random, to say the least. Nevertheless, it was fun to pick her brain!

What is one place you will make sure to visit before you die?

Tanna Island (a little tongue-in-cheek for you there!)

Who has been the biggest influence in your life?

I’d definitely have to say my mom.

There you have it folks, Ms. Tanna Marie Eiland! If you don’t already know her, let me be the first to tell you that you are missing out on a great gal!

Madison Covington is a Northwest Arkansas native and a junior at the University of Arkansas. She is studying Communications with a minor in Political Science. She loves to read books (about EVERYTHING!), watch movies, and write about stuff! Her favorite animal is a penguin and has been since year four. She believes that no matter what your dream is, you should do whatever it takes to reach it and to not give up until you're there.  "You are far too smart to be the only thing standing in your way." - Jennifer J Freeman
