Tucson Juggling Club

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Arizona chapter.

A club, very much under the radar, is Tucson’s very own juggling club. Every Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:00, the club meets outside of the Douglas building on campus to practice this unique activity. Now that the weather permits, the club meets on Sundays at 5:00 at Himmel Park as well. David Kha, an active member, has been a part of the club since he was a student at the U of A in 1988. This is quite the diverse bunch, including students, alumni, and members of the community. Some members of the club performed two weeks ago at the juggling festival in Catalina State Park. Usually the members juggle traditional pins, but many have ventured out with various objects on occasion. When asked about juggling fire, Kha told me it’s not as hard as it looks. “It’s actually difficult to burn yourself,’ Kha said. That may be true, but I don’t think I’ll be juggling fire anytime soon. The club always welcomes new members; don’t hesitate to stop on by and set your inner juggler free.
