Stories Kept Quiet: Falling August

From songs about girls who have screwed them over, to songs celebrating those who make life great, this local pop rock band “Falling August,” in their debut album, Stories Kept Quiet,write about topics that affect them and everyone around them. The band, who has been together for one year is gaining quick momentum. When pre-optometry student, Travis Yewell met business student, Evan Roberts while working at a restaurant a year ago, he eventually snagged an audition. Members include lead vocalist and guitarist Josh Arce, drummer Evan Roberts, guitarist and backing vocalist Travis Yewell, and bass guitar player, Jake Sanders.
 
For Falling August, music dominates. “Music is what we do for fun,” Yewell explains. He adds that it is thier escape from school and work.
Their hard work has paid off and they have an increasingly large number of fans, which includes almost 3,000 on Facebook. He said, “Our fan support is great and has spread nationwide and that really inspiring to see.”
 
With frequent performances in Tucson, make sure not to miss their upcoming shows. They are also in the running to play Vans Warped Tour 2011, so vote for them and they could make the top 100, get their songs selected and chosen by the judges.
