Snow Day In Tucson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Arizona chapter.

In all the four years that I have lived in Tucson, I never thought I would have a “Snow Day”. Okay, so the University of Arizona didn’t exactly cancel classes for the day, but we still had the chance to enjoy some beautiful snowfall.

With the temperature reaching a low of 32 degrees, the blizzard was in full effect by around noontime. Instead of the usual pouring rain, the sky was filled with small, white snowflakes.

I don’t know about you, but as a California girl, born and raised in Los Angeles, I have never experienced a snowy day like this just outside of my house.

In honor of having a first ever “Snow Day” in Tucson, take a break from all your homework and studies and step outside, because snow doesn’t come around the UA that often.
