First Date All Figured Out

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Arizona chapter.

Hello Ladies! Last week I talked to you about what to do and what not to do on your first date but I’m sure you are still waiting to read about proper first date attire. You are in luck because Her Campus Arizona has got you covered, Stephanie Romero knows what she’s talking about when it comes to clothes and her article, First Date Attire has some beautiful insight on rocking a cute look on your first date or any date. This week I am going to continue with the First Date Topic; what to do on your first date? A first date can range from Jaime and Landon’s adorable first date in A Walk To Remember to something simple like dinner and a movie. I know that some people think that there is nothing to do in Tucson but you can have fun with your date with these cute, fun, and simple first date ideas.

Cute, fun and simple first date ideas (that you can do in Tucson):

The Classic Movie Going: Movies are great, you get to show your date if you’re a comedy, action or horror film kind of girl and I may still be stuck in middle school but it also gives him the chance to do “the move.”

Trip to the Zoo: The zoo is always a great choice for a first date; you can enjoy your date when he is geeking out about how awesome the tigers are. The Reid Park Zoo in Tucson is actually really great too and they have this amazing Elephant Exhibit worth checking out.

Hitting up a Coffee Shop: Coffee shops have this awesome intimate setting, it may be the warm colors and wonderful smell of coffee that makes someone feel so comfortable but going to a coffee shop really helps with keeping a conversation, here you can talk about whatever and get to know the other person.

Going to a museum: I just found this out but there is a Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures in Tucson. How great is that? There are many museums to choose from here in Tucson but I thought this one was interesting because both of you can laugh at the miniatures. Going to a museum is a perfect way to show off any knowledge you may have on the subject of the museum but you both will also learn a lot together, you can ask your date what their opinion on the subject is, great way to start conversation.

Enjoy the awesomeness of live theatre: Live theatre is almost like a movie but way better because you can both appreciate the talent of the people that are acting on stage and then there is this beautiful thing called intermission where you can talk about the play/musical or just talk about anything, it’s like they give you break from the performance to talk to the person you’re with.

Going to dinner: Going to dinner is super classic, if you love food and getting to know your date at the same time then going to dinner is perfect. Alyssa DeMember actually writes about a perfect place to go in her article, In Need of a New Date Spot? Try Wild Garlic Grill, so go read her article to find out why it would be great place to go to.
