This 90s themed dance party will include costume contests, drink specials and performances by Aaron Carter, Jake Broido and many other bands.

When did you start your career in music?

I started recording myself when I was 12, just messing around on old home studio programs. I did not know what I was doing. I got an idea of what I wanted to do when I was 16 and started I guess pursuing it. I played more shows and began putting out records online.

What kind of music do you create?

I create a lot of different kinds of music right now. I have a funk band called The Good Youth Band and we have made pop/funk music. I am also producing a lot of R&B and Hip Hop for myself as well as some acapella covers and this past summer I released a solo album.

Do you usually perform the music you post on Youtube? (http://www.youtube.com/user/Ja…)

I kind of do a different thing live. Within the next year I would like to bring it all together and perform live what I post on Youtube with my band.

What advice do you give students that hope to pursue their dreams in college?

It is an everyday thing. I have been working with music everyday since I got to the University of Arizona for three years and I am not even anywhere near where I would like to be. No matter what you do, your going to have to put in years of learning. I look up to singers like Justin Timberlake. I try to strive for that and not compare with those around me. I think that really helps because I am never really satisfied. It is important to work hard.
