5 Things Everyone Should Do While Home for Thanksgiving

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Arizona chapter.

Success, you sat through your last hour-long lecture and finally found your way back home. Thanksgiving provides a week of relaxation, a healthy (or unhealthy) amount of feasting, and is a little taste of home before you have to go back and prepare for finals.

After you’ve wasted away your first morning sleeping in, and before you hit the table for your epic feast, here are 5 activities to consider to fill your few days of bliss.

1. See The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. I mean who doesn’t want to see J Law kick ass?

2.  Give back. Many cities offer various run or walks to feed the hungry. But if you’re just too stuffed with stuffing to exercise, you can head to your local homeless shelter and feed the homeless, or even drop food off at your community’s food bank.

3.  Call your grandparents if you wont share a table with them on Thanksgiving, especially because those Christmas checks are only one sweet month away.

4.  Do some Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale shopping because that college budget can only go so far.

5.  Finally, invest in some good ole stretchy pants. And, no I’m not talking Lululemon, I’m talking full-on Target clearance, ugly, gray, elastic ankle sweatpants. You know you’re going to need them.

Happy Thanksgiving!
