As college students, we spend all day in class, then go home to do homework, then by early evening we’re exhausted. Nine to ten o’clock at night is one hour a night you should take for yourself and watch one of the great shows fall television has to offer. Here are my top picks for every night of the week at 9pm:

Sunday: Revenge (ABC @9pm)

Revenge is not a show about forgiveness, but retribution. Emily Thorne moves to the Hamptons and weaves her way into the tangled web surrounding the Grayson family. Her father David Clarke was framed by the Graysons and Emily is planning her revenge from the inside. The twists and turns in this show make it one of the most suspenseful and intriguing shows on television.

Monday: Sleepy Hollow (FOX @9)

This new mystery-adventure drama created by the team that produced Star Trek and Transformers is a modern-day twist on the story of Ichabod Crane. The show travels through time between present day and Ichabod’s life in 1776. Sleepy Hollow is a new show based on the past that is sure to be a hit.

Tuesday: New Girl (FOX @9), Mindy Project (@9:30)

New Girl and The Mindy Project provide a solid hour of laughs brought to you by two of TV’s funniest women: Zooey Deschanel and Mindy Kaling.

Jess (Zooey) is a schoolteacher who moves in with three male roommates. Hilarity ensures as the four try to figure out how to live together and Jess falls in love with one of them.

Mindy is an OBGYN living in New York City and trying to juggle relationships with friends, men, and co-workers. With a great cast and a long list of guest stars, this show is too funny not to watch.

Wednesday: Law and Order SVU (NBC @9)

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit just premiered season 15 and is still going strong. Yes, we all miss Detective Stabler but Olivia Benson kicks a** this season – literally. Most of the regulars are still on the show as well as some great new characters. What’s even better is that many of the episodes are pulled straight from the headlines and relate to current events.

Thursday: Grey’s Anatomy (ABC @9)

McDreamy is still as dreamy as ever on this season of Grey’s Anatomy. With all the deaths and births on the show, Grey’s has been able to keep its audience enthralled for 9 seasons. One of the most successful medical shows of all time, Grey’s is worth staying in on Thirsty Thursday to watch.

Bonus: After a busy week of primetime, use the weekend to catch up on the best Netflix original shows.

Friday: Orange is the New Black

This is the story of Piper Chapman, a young affluent woman who is sentenced to 15 months in prison after transporting drug money one time 10 years prior. Every episode centers on the life and crime of one of the inmates Piper interacts with. It gives great insight of life in prison for women who aren’t inherently bad people. Good luck trying not to watch the whole season in one sitting.

Saturday: House of Cards

Kevin Spacey stars as Frank Underwood in this political thriller about a conniving Congressman. After being passed over for appointment to Secretary of State, Underwood decides to undermine all those who betrayed him and will stop at nothing to exact his revenge.

No matter what you’re watching this fall, you’ll have plenty to choose from with all these great shows on television!
