It’s that cozy, snowy time of year. What’s better than to come inside from a cold day and eat some warm chili? Here is a cheap and easy recipe for a delicious meal that will fit into anyone’s budget and schedule!Â
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of ground beef (or turkey)
- 3, 15 ounce cans of diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 2, 15 ounce cans of beans (you can choose from: black, kidney, or chili beans)
- 1 small white onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- optional toppings: cheese and sour cream
Directions:
- In a large pot brown beef over medium-high heat
- Drain grease
- Add all other ingredients, stir
- Bring to a boil
- Lower the heat and let the chili simmer for 15-20 minutes
- Serve with optional toppingsÂ
You can also make this in a crockpot by browning the beef, draining, and adding all ingredients to the crock pot. Put on low for 4-5 hours.
